2005-06 District 5510 Governor Lucinda General. Lucinda General served in district 5510 during 2005-2006. She is proud to be a third-generation Rotarian with roots in Rotary in three separate locations. Lucinda joined the Rotary Club of Hartford Connecticut in 1990, moved to the Rotary Club of Rohrmoser in Costa Rica and has been in Arizona as a member of the Rotary Club of Mesa West since 1996.
Lucinda has served extensively in her club, district and our zone. She led a successful membership drive for Mesa West Rotary that received district recognition. She has been honored as Club and District Rotarian of the year, presented with the Rotary International Service Above Self Award, represented District 5510 at the 2010 and 2016 Councils on Legislation and was honored to be able to serve as a Rotary International President’s Representative.
District operations, club engagement and leadership development are intensely important to Lucinda. She twice chaired Arizona Tri-District PETS, served multiple years as a District Conference chair, was the 5510 Group Study Exchange chair for several terms, worked on the RYLA committee, facilitated at Zone 25-26 GNATS, vice chair for the 2013 Phoenix Zone institute and has held a variety of other District positions. Lucinda now directs her energy to strengthening District 5495 and all of Arizona Rotary. She and George Wheeler were instrumental in the management and oversight of the recent merger of D5490 and D5510.
At present, Lucinda serves on the board for her club, chaired the 2017 the Multi District PETS Alliance, is the Zone 25-26 Treasurer, is the convener of Zone 26 Nominating Committee and is on the 5495 Bylaw committee. She has recently completed service as an Assistant Rotary Coordinator. Having been past district chair for the Annual Fund, Lucinda supports our Foundation as a Major Donor, Benefactor and Bequest Society member.
Lucinda is the owner of Simplified Expansions, Inc. an office management and bookkeeping business. She and her husband Wayne live in Phoenix with Bella the softest cocker spaniel you will ever meet.
