Is it ‘practical’ for a Rotary club to focus on peace when our projects of choice already serve basic needs in our community?  Do we have time to add peace to the mix?  How do we do that??

Designed for Rotarians, The Peaceful Places Symposium at 12:30 p.m. on June 20th at the Doubletree Scottsdale will feature Beth Brady, Director of Training and Public Relations at the Crisis Response Network, and Andrea Moseley, owner of AWE Corporate Interiors and the President-Nominee of the Phoenix 100 Rotary Club.  It will showcase Rotary projects that have promoted peaceful places in our communities.  You’ll be introduced to facts and anecdotes about creating peace amid everyday stress and conflict.  This half-day event is hosted by our own District 5495 Peacebuilders Network and will include refreshments, lunch, and afternoon snacks.

The Peaceful Places Symposium is open to all interested Rotarians, guests, and members of the community! Register thru the District Conference June 21-23 website.   To share your own club’s Peaceful Places projects for possible inclusion in the showcase or for more information, please contact  Mary Zongolowicz  zongo6@cox.net or Nancy Van Pelt nancyvanpelt@cox.net.
