Happy August District 5495 Rotary Clubs,
 
The Leadership Development Committee is very excited about the educational events being set up for the 2018-2019 Rotary year. Take a look at the events and where they fit to support the strategic plan.
 
Rotary Leadership Institute, will be August 11 (Flagstaff) and January 26 (location TBD). This program is designed for new Rotarians or those who would like to become more familiar with the vast resources and support system for Rotarians and clubs available through Rotary.
 
District Resource Summit, October 20 for all AGs and District Resource Committees. This is an all-day new offering in 2018-19 with a special emphasis on AGs to expand the awareness and understanding of district resources that are available to help the clubs in virtually every aspect of operations and service.
 
President-Elect Training Seminar will be Friday and Saturday, March 1-2, at the Sheridan Crescent Hotel in North Phoenix.
 
Club Leadership Academy will be Saturday, April 27 at the Black Canyon Conference Center in North Phoenix. This broad-based all-elective program is designed for club leaders and all other Rotarians.
 
Note: Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Public Image and Rotary Foundation education will all be offered at Club Leadership Academy.
 
Facilitator Education will be January 12 at a location to be determined. This all-new Facilitator Education program will be led by former Rotary International Vice President, Greg E. Podd and is designed to develop and refine the skills of those who will be, or are interested in facilitating educational sessions in our District.
 
Grants Management Seminar, dates and times to be determined.
 
Rotary Leadership Academy is an exciting and innovative distance learning approach to leadership development for past presidents, initial meeting is August 25, with a program running from September 2018 to May 2019.
