With the recent flooding in Nepal and two major earthquakes in Venezuela, Rotarians are often on the ground and working with local organizations to help provide disaster relief. It might not register, but this is a form of International service that clubs can engage in. Rotary International has a designated fund specifically for disaster relief, but there are many other worthy organizations to partner with for consideration, like Unite to Light, Shelter Box, and many more.
As a reminder, the DISC Committee intends to host monthly Zooms the second Wednesday of each month to highlight various ways clubs can learn, engage and participate in International service. We hope you find these meeting(s) both educational and an opportunity to share what your club projects and ideas are.
Why reinvent the wheel when you can JUMP on board, work together to create lasting impact and be the change we wish to see in the world!
Cheers,
