Rotarians:
Thank you once again for attending this year’s MX/AM Friendship Conference in Yuma. I’ve included two links with photos from the event for you to enjoy.
Together, we represented 10 Rotary Districts, 72 Rotary Clubs, and 170 participants. Over the weekend, we heard 24 Global Grant proposals totaling more than $2 million USD, as well as four additional proposals showcased in the House of Friendship. Of those, 14 projects were fully funded, and all received meaningful support.
A special thank-you to Kevin, Elizabeth, and Julia for organizing the program and guiding everyone through the purpose and mechanics of Global Grant development and funding. Our wonderful on-site Yuma team — led by Juan and Jesus — ensured we were well-fed and enjoyed every moment together.
We all left with new Rotary friends and reconnected with those we already knew. We worked hard, learned much, and experienced the true magic of Rotary Fun, Food, and Fellowship!

¡Buenas tardes, Rotarios!
Quiero agradecerles nuevamente por asistir a la Conferencia de Amistad MX/AM de este año en Yuma. He incluido dos enlaces con las fotos del evento. Juntos fuimos un grupo de 10 Distritos Rotarios, 72 Clubes Rotarios y 170 participantes. Escuchamos 24 propuestas de Subvenciones Globales por un valor de más de 2 millones de dólares, además de otras 4 que se presentaron en mesas dentro de la Casa de la Amistad. De ellas, 14 fueron totalmente financiadas y todas recibieron distintos niveles de apoyo.
Un agradecimiento especial a Kevin, Elizabeth y Julia, quienes organizaron el programa y ayudaron a todos a comprender el propósito y la mecánica del desarrollo y financiamiento de las Subvenciones Globales. Nuestro increíble equipo local en Yuma, encabezado por Juan y Jesús, se aseguró de que estuviéramos bien atendidos y disfrutando nuestro tiempo juntos.
Todos regresamos a casa con nuevos amigos rotarios y felices de reencontrarnos con quienes ya conocíamos. Trabajamos arduamente y vivimos la maravillosa magia de Diversión, Comida y Compañerismo Rotario.

Rotary Club of Sun Lakes among those participating at 2025 conference!
Rotary Club of Sun Lakes (RCSL) Rotarians Ed Anderson, Helvi Winter, Judi Edmonds and Roger Edmonds attended the 2025 Mexico-USA Friendship Conference and Global Grants Exchange in Yuma AZ. 72 Clubs were represented with close to 200 Rotarians from USA and Mexico attending. 26 projects were reviewed with a value of $2.1 million. 14 of those projects were fully funded by the end of the conference.
RCSL made monetary contributions to 11 of the projects totaling $3,000. The Rotary Club of Yuma held a welcome dinner and hosted both a season-themed party.
This conference, now in its 25th year, is the ideal way for Rotary clubs to get involved in a Rotary International Foundation global grants. From providing clean water to promoting peace worldwide, global grants bring service project ideas to life. Attendees experienced fellowship at its finest with clubs from Mexico and Arizona partnering together to fund global grants at this unique project-focused event.
